Blue Mallee are an elaborate act with an impressive array of original songs and stories to match. This duo is pushing the boundaries of contemporary indie folk music with traditional influences and ambient soundscapes. Singer songwriter Evan takes you on a journey with his guitar, stompbox, pedalboard, e-bow and harmonica, and Niev brings her voice, synthesiser and bodhran to the mix.After receiving a music grant, Blue Mallee released their debut EP Shout That Whisper to wide acclaim in 2022. Their follow up EP has been slated for an early 2024 release. If you are looking for great storytelling and hauntingly beautiful soundtracks within your music, then Blue Mallee is for you!
SMOKEY SATURDAYS are free entry music sessions held in the Smokey Dan’s courtyard every Saturday from 12-3pm. These unique events feature some of the best performers from the local area and beyond. Experience an amazing variety of music performed by solo artists, duos, and bands from a broad range of genres including rock, pop, blues, folk, country and more. While you listen enjoy a delicious meal from Smokey Dan’s incredible menu.
