Join Ridenfaden, Outsiders & Trellis Brewery for the first annual “Smoketown Swap Meet”.
The Louisville cycling community: Cyclists, bike mechanics, bike shops, bike organizations/clubs, bike racers, bike collectors and anyone interested in bicycles. You’re invited to this bicycle swap meet inside of Trellis Brewery in the Smoketown Neighborhood of Louisville. Here’s what to expect…
• Set up from 11am-12 NOON. No beer served until NOON.
• Brick Alley Ride – 12-1:30 with Ridenfaden, from the brewery. Route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3420833233874423054
• Bicycle swap meet – 12-5 – Bicycles, bike parts, bike accessories, anything bicycle related. Bring a small table and bike stand of you like. Buy, sell, trade and donate bikes and parts to “Falls City Community Bicycle Works” Join us back at Trellis, Sunday January 8th at NOON to deliver donations to FCCBW by bicycle, bike trailer, cargo bike and whatever you have to carry donations to the COOP.
• DJ and MC will be in the house spinning music and making announcements.
• Vintage Bicycle Show – 12-5 – Limited to bicycles 1990s and older. Fill out a card and attach it to your entry. Space could be limited in the Brewery, so one entry per person. Voting from 12noon – 3pm. Winners top 3 announced by 3:30.
• Roller Racing – Registration, practice & seeding 12-2, Racing from 2-4:30 – Race with both wheels moving on the 40+ year old mechanical roller race machine built by Clarksville Schwinn & the late Highland Cycle. Open class, $10 per racer, Track or fixed gear recommended, geared bikes allowed with gearing of 99.1 gear inches, or one pedal revolution at or near 303″ (we will roll all bikes out on the marks on patio at 25 feet 3 inches or less) The closer you are to 303″ will be to your advantage. Prepare your bike gearing before you arrive to save time. Top 3 men and women, CASH PRIZES.
