There’s something for everyone at a Lemonise show — whether that be high-energy funk-based riffage from guitarist Maya Riv and bassist Gene Griffin, Earthy didgeridoo/Yidaki drones played by First Nations songwriter and vocalist Jake Magi, entrancing rhythms played by drummer Morgan Monk, or heartfelt words about creating music in a state bucolic bliss on the NSW South Coast — the band take their audience with them on a sonic journey through wild NSW and Yuin Country, a place of inspiration for the band and birthplace of their song.
