This class will be taught by marketing and social media experts at Strat Lab:
Jeph Maystruck + Seher Naeem + Tanisha Bassi
Jeph Maystruck: Jeph has an utter disregard for the status quo. He gives keynotes regularly on marketing and social media, hands out lottery tickets daily, and has worked at a marketing company in Regina called StratLab for 11 years. Outside of “work” Jeph co-founded and is a still major part of Big Idea Camp and has taught Marketing at Saskatchewan Polytechnic and Social Media at the University of Regina. Jeph has also published over 100 songs on Soundcloud (his DJ name is DJ Clumsy Vegetarian) but his greatest achievement in life so far has been fatherhood – he currently has a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old.
Seher Naeem: Hey there! I’m your friendly social media marketing bestie! I’ve spent the past four years of my life diving deep into the wonderful world of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook plus a few other platforms (that, if I’m being honest, are quite irrelevant in today’s world) and boy have I learned a thing or two! From creating content to editing, scheduling, and posting it – I’ve got social media down to a science! If there’s one thing that gets me giddy with excitement, it’s creating reels! Seriously, there’s just something so fun about piecing together the perfect video with a catchy song, snappy transitions, and a touch of humor! When I’m not glued to my phone screen, you can usually find me exploring the great outdoors or trying out new restaurants (hey, a girl’s gotta eat!). But don’t be fooled by my love for social media and food – I’ve also got a serious side. I’m passionate about using my skills to make a difference in the world! Let’s make the internet a more fun and engaging place, one post at a time!
Tanisha Bassi: Growing up, I always loved being creative! Whether through writing, music, or art, I always felt the need to create something! I was a big musical theatre and improv kid growing up and it really helped me develop the skills I have today. In 2022 I received my Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina, and that same year I began working at Strategy Lab. When I had the opportunity to take on marketing as a career, it was the best thing ever! I get to be creative every day in so many forms and work with people who have such amazing ideas!
