Calling all Guitar Finger-pickers and Classical Guitarists in Savannah and Surrounding areas! SMI is starting a Guitar Orchestra! Beginning with a special guitar class in July.Classical Guitarist Joe Flanders has been talking about starting a Guitar Orchestra like those in LA and Boston for years, and we believe we have enough local talent to start on here in Savannah. Join us this week as we learn a bit about the process of guitars playing together in harmony July 15th to July 18th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. each night.
Players need to have a good grasp on how to play their instrument and the ability to read music is strongly encouraged, but can be taught if your skills are rusty. This will be a workshop class each night to learn some basics of Classical Guitar and Finger-style Music in addition to Ensemble Techniques on the guitar. All acoustic guitar styles welcome!
