Floral atmospheres feel as distant as the seasonal greening of springtime forests when stark winter landscapes endure. It’s not uncommon to pine for warmth, longer days and visual proof of earthly renewal in the form of flowers when we feel this way.Think about it. The bright shade of spring green in new leaves makes us keenly aware of new life, and the way our pupils constrict and dilate in the presence and absence of sunlight. Flowers offer this and more, whether we detect their scent in the breeze, or nose the petals close up to appreciate their fragrant beauty.
The scent flight for this Smell & Tell program includes single floral extracts used in French-style perfumery. Attendees will smell seven individual essences on fragrance blotters and learn how to evaluate them using professional sensory evaluation techniques.
