Your soon to be favorite band – SMEGMA – fresh off gigs (seriously) at the Whisky-a-go-go and the Rainbow on the Sunset Strip in LA will be playing in Northport for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Friday, September 26th at Gunther’s Tap Room!! It’s unclear if the one night is because of state regulations, the furlough program or complete lack of interest in a second show. Whatever the reason, the show that has been percolating for nearly 40 years since this power trio formed is coming to a bar near you (unless you’re a friend who isn’t local, in which case stay tuned for other shows!). The date: September 26th
The time: 9PM until 1AM
The place: Gunther’s Tap Room, 81 Main St., Northport, NY
It’s the “Get Back in the Van Tour” and you’re all invited (you’re welcome!). We’ll be playing all of our classics, like “Smegma”… and the other ones… I’m sure there were other classics, but I’m old and forget them… and, in addition to our rocking originals (and BenderX covers!), we’ll have a night of cover songs that you’ll all know, as well. We’re even going to have guest stars playing with us – settle down, Ringo!
This is a “can’t miss” show in that… we’d really like you to come. Seriously, though - this is going to be massive. We’re battle tested and ready to bring the rock to Northport (you can almost hear me scream “Northport, are you ready to rock!!!”). Hope to see you all there!!
