About this Event
"Work smarter, not harder."
Have you heard that expression?
Have you wondered what it means to actually do that?
Smarter Work
A 3-part workshop series to help you:
--> hone your organization's strategic analysis skills,
--> discover a clearer path to meeting your organization’s challenges,
--> and accelerate organizational readiness for long-term success.
Are you ready for your day-to-day work to be less reactive? Would you like to develop a more thoughtful approach, one that's more aligned with the true priorities of your organization? The Smarter Work series is for you.
What is it?
Three two-hour sessions in a small group setting to explore how to apply strategic thinking to your work. Conversations include featured expert guests, practical tools and resources, and peer sharing from other arts leaders.
Dates:
October 17, 10 am - 12 pm
November 14, 10 am - 12 pm
January 23, 10 am - 12 pm
Who is it for?
The Smarter Work cohort will be a select group of ten local arts organizations, represented by one senior leadership team member and one board member. Priority will be given to Santa Clara County based arts organizations.
What will you gain?
* Deeper understanding of intentional planning and focused priority setting
* Specific steps to get your organization in position to develop a functional strategic framework
* Better decision-making processes to evaluate opportunities and optimize your time
* Real-life examples of what actually works in today's arts ecosystem
Is this right for your organization?
If any of the following resonates, this series is a good fit for you.
* The passion for your work in the arts has been replaced by frustration
* Day-to-day efforts do not seem to support your organization's stated mission
* Your team has expressed an interest in creating a better road map
* The organization's goals seem outdated, unclear, or just not compelling
* Partners, funders, or collaborators have suggested the benefit of strategic work
* The need for reflection and revision of your organization's path is overdue
