About this Event
We invite researchers to attend a one day workshop jointly hosted by the centre for Data Intensive Science and Industry (DISI), UCL, and the Natural Sciences Machine Learning Network (NSMLN), University of Kent. The theme of the event is the applications of AI and machine learning methods in spectroscopy.
This in-person only event will take place January 15th between 10:00 and 16:00 pm in Kennedy Seminar Room 10 and will comprise short presentations 15 min +5 min questions and networking opportunities to identify common/complementary areas of interest. Complimentary lunch, tea and coffee will be provided. Please tell us in advance of particular dietary requirements or building access needs. A more detailed programme will be made available soon. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of experience. So, if you are actively involved in the application of machine learning in spectroscopy for physics and chemistry or simply curious to know more, please consider signing up. If you have relevant research experience and would like to give a talk, let us know using the Eventbrite registration page. There you will find space to enter a descriptive talk title. Short presentations or spotlight talks will be considered subject to time constraints.
Additionally, you are welcome to join the organisers for an early evening meal in Canterbury’s historic city centre. Indicative costs £25 main course (to be covered by attendee).
