Thank you for registering for the District 1 Smart Cycling Class in Costa Mesa!
This interactive workshop is tailored for cyclists eager to enhance their riding skills and knowledge and/or take the first step toward becoming a League Cycling Instructor (LCI). As Costa Mesa aims to improve its active transportation infrastructure, our mission is to empower adults to ride confidently and safely in their communities while fostering smarter, safer cycling habits.
We look forward to helping you build the skills to enjoy riding to the fullest!
This class contains an in-class lecture as well as a hands on riding experience. (NOTE: this is not a Learn to Ride class). Participants must be able to ride their bike continously for a minimum of 30 minutes. Ages 18+ only.
When: Saturday, February 22nd, 2025
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Registration is free and each participant will receive a free lock, helmet, and light set!
Each participant must register separately.
Please bring a bike in good working order, helmet, water and snacks. Wear comfortable clothing, including closed toed shoes, and sunscreen! (NOTE: this is not a Learn to Ride class)
train the trainer component, add 30 min section about how to work with kids (at the end of class)
3 hours of lecture, 30 min of train the trainer,
