This ethos is at the core of Gorse Farm as it encompasses a holistic approach to healthy food production, land management and care of the environment.
The talk will cover Janet's experiences of small scale food production from co-running Gorse Farm, an organic market garden of 1/2 acre in size. In addition to sharing an overview of the farm and Janet will also speak to the broader social context of local, small-scale food production and the role it can play in addressing the climate & biodiversity crises.
This event is part of our LEAF literacy and food education programme and is a partnership between GIY (Grow it Yourself), Wexford Libraries and Libraries Ireland.
This campaign supports you to grow your own food, and gives you resources and online supports to do so.
