The Small Community Forums provide resources and a venue for everyone who cares about the future of Wisconsin’s small (and mighty) communities. The forums bring together residents, community leaders, elected officials, business leaders, and civic-minded individuals to share best practices and discuss strategies to address the unique opportunities and challenges facing our communities.All Forums start at 8 am (registration and breakfast open at 7:30 am) and end with lunch at 12 noon. The registration fee is $20, which covers coffee and rolls, lunch, and materials.

10:00 am Wisconsin Clerks: The Swiss Army knives of their communities
That real-world experience and inside knowledge of what clerks go through informs Melissa Kono’s work in Extension. Kono has developed several trainings focused on helping municipal clerks be more effective and efficient. She provides training on election law and processes to election workers across Wisconsin and has trained volunteer groups on voter registration.

10:45 am Roundtable Discussions: Leaders will include Melissa Kono, staff and leaders from Mineral Point, and state agency leaders.
