Furthermore, you'll have the opporunity to hear from local business owners (from HERE and DCP Consulting & Training) and agencies (UCEDC and Plainfield Special Improvement District) that support small businesses end to end from "seeds" to "storefronts".

Attending the event provides the opporotunity to receive a $500.00 forgiveable loan from the UCEDC. Join us for a meaningful discussion around opening your first storefront, especially if the location you're considering is Downtown Plainfield, NJ.

Criteria for Forgivable Loan:

Interested in opening a storefront in Plainfield/Union County or have an existing storefront in Plainfield/Union County
Attend one (1) SmallBOOST Camp session @ from HERE
Attend one (1) UCEDC mentoring or educational session

Who can apply for a $500.00 forgivable loan after attending the session? Anyone with a business address or household address based within Union County.
How do I apply for the forgivable loan? What information is required to apply? There will be a link provided after the criteria is fulfilled. The form will require you to provide basic information about yourself and your business.
What is the timeframe from applying to the loan and receiving the loan? You should receive the loan within 3-5 business days.
How long does it take for the loan to be forgiven? Your loan will automatically be forgiven over a 6-month period.
Will there be a hard credit check or minimum credit score requirement? There is no hard credit check or minimum credit score requirement.
Why wouldn't I be granted a forgivable loan? If the criteria is not met, you would not be granted the forgiven loan.
Under what conditions would I have to pay the loan back? You would not be provided the forgivable loan if the criteria is not met.
