Boxed lunch and beverage will be included.
About the Presentation
Small businesses have numerous options for keeping track of business transactions and financial reporting. The methods range from paper and pencil to automated accounting systems on handheld devices utilizing cloud technology. This paper uses the technology, organization, and environment (TOE) framework to explain small businesses’ adoption of an integrated computerized accounting information system (ICAIS). Research conducted between 2012 and 2015 indicated that ICAIS may not be as prevalent in small companies as previously thought and shows that many small businesses do not use computers for accounting information systems (AIS); (Fordham & Hamilton, 2019). The results of this study determined that technology infrastructure and size of firm were related to small businesses adopting an ICAIS.
