About this Event
Cephalopod (ceph.a.lo.pod) means "headfoot" and refers to any mollusks having tentacles attached to the head. Become a Scientist at Play as we discover and dissect a squid with its elongated body, large eyes, eight arms and two tentacles. Recommended for ages 6-14. Workshop is limited to four registered spots for kids and their parent/guardian. Registration includes:
~ One jumbo squid (specimens are wild-caught and previously frozen, so there are no preserving chemicals involved)
~Terminology BINGO with prizes + anatomy refernce guides
~Water, juice and light snacks
(Parents wishing to dissect their own specimen will need to buy their own ticket; otherwise, they are welcome to engage in the activity by sharing a Squid with their child.)
