For our next session, we are thrilled to introduce the upcoming SCORE workshop: Understanding Commercial Financing for Small Businesses, led by Scott Petersen.
In this workshop, you'll:
- Gain a basic understanding of commercial financing options
- Participate in an open forum, with opportunities for audience-driven questions and discussions
- Walk through a scenario with a fictitious company to better understand how various loan products work in real-world situations

About the Speaker
Scott Petersen is a servant leader with over 25 years of experience helping businesses navigate lending challenges. With a strong consultative background in regional and super-regional banks and credit unions, Scott has owned two commercial loan brokerages—Great Lakes Capital in Illinois and Petersen Consulting in Michigan. He has also been recognized with Gallup’s Five Star Service Award for excellence in customer service. Currently, Scott serves as a Senior Commercial Lender at Arbor Financial Credit Union.
When not helping businesses, Scott enjoys working on home projects, hiking, outdoor activities with his family, and attending car shows across Southwest Michigan.
