Slow Balboa is danced to slower Swing music. In this workshop, Vera and Carsten will introduce you to this fantastic partner dance, which you can use whenever the music gets too slow for other Lindy dances. Take a look at this video:You don't need to have any dance experience. Like dancing Balboa, you will dance with a partner and do so frequently in closed embrace, i.e. the torso of both dance partners will be touching. We will rotate partners frequently throughout the class, unless you prefer to stay in a specific dance partnership. We kindly ask that you choose for the workshop either the dance role of leader or follower. Please choose your role freely as per your preference and expect that you might dance with partners of various genders.
We have 3 hours of classes plus 2 breaks of 15 minutes each. Please bring comfortable clothing and a water bottle. If you have (dance) shoes with a (slightly) slippery soles, please bring those too.
