Winter Solstice is a time to reflect, to cultivate vitality and nurture ourselves. The shorter and cooler days of winter are an opportune time to slow down and make space for self-care.
I am looking forward to sharing a nurturing afternoon of yoga, relaxation, sound bath, pranayama and meditation along with a sense of connection and community.
We will practice some rejuvenating yoga focused on enhancing mobility by targeting the release of fascia, promoting flexibility and ease. Muscles are wrapped in 'fascia' - a connective web-like tissue that runs in sheets throughout the body. Fascia can stretch and move freely. Following physical/emotional trauma, scarring, or inflammation, fascia loses its pliability, becoming tight, creating tension. This session blends relaxation and specialised back care to support you to feel the soothing benefits as you cultivate a supple, resilient body.
Finish with some restorative yoga, exploring different postures, using props for ease and comfort and the breath to release into these postures. Staying in the postures for while bathing in the sounds of Koshi chimes, crystal singing bowls and RAV drum.
