Slow and Steady Flow begins with gently invigorating movement to encourage the free flow of energy throughout the body and incorporates breathing techniques to soothe, refresh, and regulate your entire nervous system. Integrate it all with guided meditation at the end of class.

Feel free to bring a notebook or journal as you will be given time at the end of each class for reflection and optional sharing.

Each Slow and Steady Flow class will gently move the spine in all six directions using a variety of floor and standing poses, incorporate new stress relieving breath and mindfulness techniques each week, and conclude with a restorative posture and guided meditation.
Yoga can help alleviate and protect our mental health from stress, anxiety and depression.

Michele’s Bio and Invitation:
I took my first yoga class twenty years ago to get exercise and relieve stress. I didn’t practice consistently at first, but about ten years ago, I decided to dedicate time each week to the physical practice of yoga (asana), as well as the ethics and philosophy of this ancient tradition. I learned firsthand the power of this practice, and my life has changed for the better! Yoga has helped me to find confidence, physical strength, and flexibility, as well as emotional resilience, humility, and compassion for myself and others. It has also given me the tools to handle life's inevitable struggles with discernment and flexibility.
I earned my Children’s Yoga certification in 2016 through Yoga Ed, my RYT 200 from “Breathe for Change” in 2018, my RYS 300 from “Heartwood Yoga Institute” in August of 2023, and I am currently working towards my Yoga Therapy license and IAYT Certification at Heartwood.

My purpose as a Yoga teacher/ therapist is to hold space for others in a way that is inclusive, supportive, and compassionate. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner, or this is your first time on the mat, there is a place for you in this practice and I invite you to come as you are. You are perfect.
