About this Event
The NEW YEAR means starting better health habits so lets walk together!
Led by Allie Madden, this walking group meets Wednesdays at 9:30am beginning January 15.
We will walk together under the awnings at The Junction Shopping Center. This group will mosey... walk as slow as we want and enjoy each other's company!
We welcome folks who aren't athletes but who want to enjoy a slow and gentle walk with friends once a week.
Please park in front of Kohl's facing the Starbucks. We may end up there for a cup of warmth after the walks. Walking under cover will get us through any bad weather. We will circle the center once or twice. We will let the day decide.
It’s preferred no pets during this particular walking event.
January 15 through March 19, JOIN ANY TIME!
This walking group is what we call here at Blue Zones Project a walking moai. Moai (pronounced moh-eye) is a concept from Okinawa, Japan that means coming together for a common purpose. The Okinawans are some of the world’s longest living people who join together to support each other in times of need. Walking Moais, or walking groups, encourage that same social support while adding the extra emotional and physical benefits of walking.
We hope to see you there! Sign up here or at the walk. Bring a friend!
