Hike up Slieve Foye, we ascend via a gully and desend onto the saddle before heading up to the cross at Barnavave and desend down to the desserted village, before following a quiet road back to the picturesque town centre.All participants must have reasonable fitness, come appropriately dressed for a day of hiking no jeans allowed. Make sure you bring plenty of warm clothing, waterproofs, a lunch, snacks and water a small flask containing a hot drink is recommended.
