Help keep Smith Lake clean!
Join the Smith Lake Environmental Preservation Committee (SLEPC) on Earth Day for our Adopt-a-Stream Cleanup* on the morning of Saturday, April 26th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Lunch is provided for volunteers following the cleanup.
- Piedmont National and PALS are providing garbage bags, gloves, safety vests, and Pick-Up-Sticks.
- Ryan's Creek RV Resort & Campground is providing parking and a covered lunch pavilion by the lake.
- Cullman County Sheriff's Department is providing safety, support, and trash collection.
- SLEPC Cleanup T-shirts are provided to all volunteers!
- All we need is YOU.
~~Please register by Wednesday, April 23rd. We need a headcount for lunch and T-shirts.~~
Please wear clothes and shoes appropriate for picking up trash (long pants, sturdy shoes/boots). Please apply sunscreen and insect repellent.
If you are not a member of SLEPC and would like to join, . You do not have to be a member of SLEPC to help with the cleanup.
If you can't physically help with the cleanup, you can still help by sending a donation to SLEPC. .
*The location is directly past the bridge after you turn on CR 813 from CR 222 (turn like you are heading to Smith Lake Park from CR 222). Parking and lunch are at Ryan's Creek RV Resort & Campground (take the second entrance past the bridge on your right).
