About this Event
People living with disabilities already faced unique challenges to their physical and mental health before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
There is mounting evidence that the disability community has been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including higher case rates and case fatality rates.
Many other segments of our community experience barriers to accessing vaccine at primary care providers or high-volume vaccination sites and this is one event that is intended to provide vaccine to those populations who need it the most.
About Event
The Washington State Department of Health will administer Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for ages 6 months and up, which will also coordinate an education webinar that will be accessible on-site at the location and online via Zoom. This will event also include a hybrid webinar presenting information about the vaccines.
Accessibility
- The venue location is fully accessible. The educational will be accessible to participants at the event and online.
- Will be closed-captioned.
- Will include ASL Interpreters
Program Schedule
The Webinar is expected to occur in conjunction with the popup and will include one or more of the following topics.
- What is the cause of COVID-19
- Information about vaccines including how they are made, what they do and what they are for.
- Reasons to clarify that you still can get vaccinated.
- Why you are not immune against the virus
