Hi, I am Joanna Konefal of Yoga State of Mind. I am an independent certified RYS 200h+ Yoga Teacher, Mental Health First Aider and NHS accredited yoga protocol facilitator. I promote yoga for mental health in the community through weekly classes, courses and events. As a mum myself, I understand the importance of good sleep, the consequences of sleep deprivation and the role our mind plays in restoring or creating good habits. My offering to you includes structured 2 hour workshops which will take place over 4 consecutive weekends in November (Sunday afternoons 4:30-6:30pm) in a beautiful barn-converted studio Sunrise Yoga in Potterspury (5 min drive from Milton Keynes).
Four main things that affect the quality of our sleep are: health, including both physical and mental health, environment, our attitude towards our sleep problems, and lifestyle. Through the course we will discuss and I will offer tips on all the above mentioned aspects of life that affect sleep.
Some habits are hard to break unless we accept that a holistic approach is needed, and we commit to making changes. If you want to HEAL your sleep problems NATURALLY, invest 8 hours of your time to learn a little bit more about yourself.
The structure of each workshop will be similar, with Breathwork, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and time for discussion. I will weave in bite-size lessons around how our mind works, what we can do to rewire it and change old habits. By the end of last week, you will be equipped with new tools to use moving forward. The investment for this course is £110, with £10 from each purchase going towards a charitable goal (sponsoring a bursary for yoga classes for people on low income). The price covers 4 two-hour workshops and a gift to take home on the completion of the course.
