Mary Lattimore
From performing with Thurston Moore to live streams on Resident Advisor, Mary Lattimore is known to shape-shift her harp with effects pedals and synthesizers. This contemporary approach shimmers through her 2020 album Silver Ladders. But the nine plus minute single “I Spent the Day Inside” is her latest, a waterfall of plunked notes and haunting melody.
SANAM
With lyrics inspired from Arabic folklore and a primordial storm of heavy free rock, SANAM’s debut release Aykathani Malakon is a hypnotic slow-burn of old and new, indebted to traditional Egyptian songs and post-punk experimentation.
