Join us at TKC's Anchorage office (4300 B St, Suite 405 on the 4th floor) Monday, January 12 at 12 p.m. for a Slaviq (Russian Orthodox Christmas) Starring and Singing celebration with the St. Innocent Russian Orthodox Cathedral's star. Starring is a Russian Orthodox Christmas celebration that represents the three wise men following the star. It typically involves people following a decorated wooden star with a religious icon at its center. The group goes from house to house, village to village. The star boy or young man spins the star while the rest of the group sings. The spinning motion represents eternity.
Refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!
