The Columbus-based Slate Ridge Bluegrass Band has performed at venues and special events for more than 25 years. They draw energy from acoustic musical genres such as Appalachian, folk, country, contemporary acoustic as well as traditional bluegrass. Their sound is enhanced by original compositions as well as popular covers.While the band has consistently headlined at many central Ohio venues, Slate Ridge has also opened at concerts featuring nationally known artists such as Hayseed Dixie, Marty Raybon and Shenandoah and Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. From dinner concerts and music festivals to cookouts and wedding receptions, Slate Ridge’s energy and musical delivery are bound to please.
