SLACA is happy to share that the 2025 conference will be held at the Museo del Canal in Panama City! We are excited to be
collaborating with local host institutions to make this event possible: Centro de Investigaciones Históricas Antropológicas y Culturales AIP – Panamá, El Centro Internacional de Estudios Políticos y Sociales, La Asociación de Antropología e Historia de Panamá, and el Museo del Canal.
We are accepting submissions for participation in the 2025 SLACA Conference in Panama City, March 12-15, 2025!

Registration Information:
Member/Non-member Professional - $100 USD
Member/Non-member Student - $20 USD
Local Scholars - free registration
We will be offering six $400 USD travel grants to scholars from Central America to support their travel to Panama City and participation in the conference.
A link for conference registration through the American Anthropological Association (AAA) and application information for travel grants will be distributed with notification of acceptance.
