✨CALL FOR ART: 'REFLECTIONS' AT HIGHLAND SIP COFFEE HOUSE 2 ✨SLAC invites you to submit to our next upcoming art exhibition, “REFLECTIONS”, at the Sip Coffee House 2 in Highland, Indiana!
This call is all about exploring the depth, mystery, and beauty of Reflections—the shimmering water, the mirrored glass, the way light bounces and bends, the moments of self-contemplation…there are so many ways you can interpret 'Reflection'.✨
Show us some unique mirrored surfaces… your dreamy water reflections… your introspective self-portraits! 🌍
We’re hoping to see pieces that highlight the ways reflections can evoke emotion, tell stories, or create an aura. If your work captures the symmetry of a perfect mirror image, the distortion of a puddle after the rain, or even the symbolic meanings of reflection—like self-awareness, nostalgia, or duality—we want to see your super cool take! 🌊
So let this be your inspiration to experiment and create something REFLECTIVE! ✨
Think about how reflections interact with color, light, and space. This is an opportunity to push your creative boundaries and capture something truly mesmerizing. All mediums that can be safely mounted to the wall are invited to participate, and we encourage it all (family friendly, of course, it's a coffee shop).

TWO: Sending JPG images of each piece along with the TITLE OF ARTWORK and an ARTIST’S STATEMENT briefly explaining your reflective submission to [email protected] with “REFLECTIONS” in the subject line by WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19TH, 2025, BY OR BEFORE MIDNIGHT.
Please name the JPGs in a manner that we can line up the piece with the title. We need to know what piece goes with what tag. You will receive a notification through email for any pieces accepted by the latest, end of day, Thursday, March 20th. There are no mandatory submission or commission fees for your work. ✨
Due to space restrictions, we cannot accept pieces larger than 39 inches, nor can we accept sculptures or pieces that cannot be securely mounted on the wall.
💙 Art Drop-Off Details Due to Sip's limited size and inability to receive and store our art, we have a designated art drop-off time, which will be Sunday, MARCH 23RD from 3-6 PM. All artwork accepted must be dropped off and signed in with the SLAC group by the attending administrators or artists present, not the baristas working at the Sip (unless prior arrangements have been made with both the administrators and shop owner).
The coffee shop has outside art displayed throughout, and the baristas are not responsible for differentiating between SLAC artwork and other art for sale at the venue. This ensures proper organization and prevents mix-ups. Please plan accordingly!
All pieces must be PROPERLY FRAMED and PROPERLY WIRED (NO sawtooth hangers), or we will NOT hang them, no exceptions. No wiring may take place inside the venue unless it is one of the exhibit coordinators. All wiring must be done prior to drop-off.
If the artwork arrives in any condition not stated in the submission process, the piece may not be hung. Please ensure that all pieces remain hung for the entirety of the show unless arrangements have been made with a show administrator beforehand. To help keep your artwork organized and assist with sales, attach a TAG with your name, price, email and/or contact information, and the title on the back of the frame. Thanks, everyone!
