You are invited to attend a London Launch event co-hosted by the Institute for Inclusive Communities and Environments and Stephen Lawrence Research Centre, De Montfort University, to the special preview of the SL30 Hopeful Futures Exhibition at the Stephen Lawrence Gallery, University of Greenwich.
About the SL30 Hopeful Futures Exhibition
To mark the significance of the 30th anniversary of Stephen Lawrence’s tragic M**der and to honour Stephen’s legacy, The Stephen Lawrence Research Centre (SLRC) invited children and young people, from 7 – 18 years old to imagine a world beyond discrimination to express their vision of hope using a variety of creative mediums.
The theme of Hopeful Futures is inspired by the work of Stephen’s mother, Baroness Doreen Lawrence and her family, to promote a hopeful and fairer society for all focusing themes including love, care, change, friendship and family.
The SLRC received submissions from across the country and the Hopeful Futures Exhibition is now touring to London.

Attending the Special View
You will be able to see the inspiring work from the young artists, poets and performers in a gallery setting and meet the Stephen Lawrence Research Centre and Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation team, where we can hear about your response to the exhibition and your hopes about the future. Refreshments and drinks will be provided.
