🌿 Tourism Month Celebration: Community, Resilience & Connection 🌿Spring has sprung, and Skål International Nelson Mandela Bay invites you to join us in celebrating Tourism Month!
Come and enjoy an afternoon of good company, conversation and inspiration at the delightful D’Stoep Bistro, Bakery & Bar in historic Richmond Hill, a cosy neighbourhood favourite known for its freshly baked treats, hearty meals, and welcoming atmosphere.
We are honoured to welcome our guest speaker, Mxolisi Michael (Mike) Pantsi, a respected cultural historian, community leader, and lifelong advocate for social development in South Africa.
Born in New Brighton, Mike has spent his life amplifying the voices and stories of his community. A former Chairperson of Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism, a certified professional tour guide, and an Assistant Researcher at Nelson Mandela University, he continues to inspire and mobilise people through his work in community-based tourism and social upliftment.
In Mike’s own words:
“We were coercively separated from one another, denied opportunities, and marginalised due to our skin colour. However, we can surmount this painful legacy. By uniting, breaking down barriers, and working together, we can create a society where love, peace, and equality thrive. Everything depends on us.”
Prepare for a thought-provoking and moving talk as Mike shares his vision of connection, collaboration, and a brighter future for all.
