About this Event
Attention K-pop boys and girls! Are you ready for the “K-Fun" Summer School at Skyview High?!
We have expanded our wildly popular annual “K-Fun” Korean cultural festival to span six weeks, with one day during each designated week dedicated to exploring the vibrant and captivating facets of Korean pop music, art, fashion, wellness, food and traditional cultural experiences!
On June 27th, we're hosting a celebration of Korean artistic talent! Four Korean artists, Choi Jin Yong, Jason H. Lee, Lee Hyun Joon, and Park Mi Jeong, will be conducting a live art installation titled "Ten Symbols of Longevity." These symbols, including the sun, clouds, mountains, water, pine trees, rocks, reishi mushrooms, cranes, turtles, and deer, represent the desire for long and happy lives as believed by ancient cultures. Participants are welcome to join the mosaic paper coloring activity and help complete the masterpieces on-site.
In addition, emerging graphic design artists including Noh Heewon and Dahui will be present to create complimentary personalized designs on sneakers and t-shirts purchased at Skyview retailers.
Participants who attend more than four of these K-Fun Summer School “classes” will receive a “graduation gift” that includes a postcard signed by beloved K-pop star Jung Dae Hyun.
