What to know about Pilates Strength: Pilates Strength, which is a more intense workout than a mat class - though both Lauren and Heather teach a very challenging mat class (with many modifications/adjustments so it's still accessible to all).
This unique take on the classical Pilates Mat exercises combines honed, focused core work intermixed with high intensity interval training (HIIT). This allows for a full body workout geared at strengthening the abdominal muscles while at the same time applying that strength to challenging exercises for the arms and legs. The heart rate training in this class focuses on bringing the heart rate both up and down, utilizing heavier weights and short bursts of energy. All levels are welcome, as the class can be scaled to each individual's needs.
