We are inviting staff from the Adult social care sector to join us for a free educational event.
Who is this for?
We are welcoming colleagues from primary care, nursing and/or residential care homes, supported living or domiciliary care services, care agencies and private carers. If you are one of our care professionals of the future this will also be an excellent learning opportunity! If you are a health and social care student, nursing student or allied health professional student, please join us.
If you work in any aspect of the adult social care sector in Cornwall and are involved in supporting people to maintain healthy skin aiming to prevent skin breakdown and infection or promote healing this will be for you. If you are looking to update and refresh your knowledge or are new to the care sector.
What will you learn?
The day will include presentations from the tissue viability team, our specialist representatives from the products that are commonly used to maintain skin integrity and promote healing along with the infection prevention and control service.
This is a collaborative event where we can share knowledge and experience. Please take every opportunity to ask questions and build upon your knowledge.
The aims of the day are:
· To have fun, learn and gain information to improve the care of your patients and residents
· To gain knowledge of issues affecting the skin and how to prevent them
· To gain awareness of and utilise pathways to help your practice
· To network with colleagues
