About this Event
Skills for Volunteers is a FREE one-day, basic-level, introductory course that aims to equip individuals with the necessary skills to become effective volunteers. This event is perfect for those who are interested in volunteering but don't know where to start. The course covers a range of topics:
Do you want to know how to get started?
Perhaps you face barriers to volunteering you need help to overcome?
Do you want to learn how volunteering can help you find paid work?
Do you want to learn what types of volunteering are available to you?
If you need extra help there will be somebody on hand to support you or you are welcome to bring someone with you. This course is packed full of hints and tips and you don't need any prior experience to attend.
The event will take place on Tuesday March 11th at the South Kent Community Church hall.
The Cornerstone Centre, 60 Castle Hill Ave, Folkestone CT20 2QR. Lunch will be provided and travel expenses paid (please bring a receipt).
