About this Event

This innovative new Skills Bootcamp for Future Leaders has been specifically designed to support emerging professionals from any sector who have high leadership potential to develop their skills and understanding in self and sustainable leadership in order to facilitate progression.

On 16th July 2024 Truro and Penwith College will be hosting a Taster Day for the Skills Bootcamp programme for Future Leaders to provide an opportunity to meet with the tutors, take part in taster activities to get a better understanding of the content and study requirements of the full taught programme content, learn about the benefits of becoming an adult learner at Truro and Penwith College and meet with trained Guidance Officers to discuss career aspirations and any additional support or accessibility requirements.

The thirteen-week Skills Bootcamp will then start on 4th September 2024 and learners will study a range of subjects that will enable aspiring leaders and managers to develop their career and prepare for progression onto further studies or an Apprenticeship.

Across the College-based teaching days, our specialist tutors will develop your knowledge and skills in a comprehensive range of topics including Leadership Values, Styles and Qualities, Sustainable People Management and Practices, Emotional Intelligence, Assertiveness and Managing Behaviours, Self-Leadership, including Resilience and Stress Management, Sustaining and Optimising Team Achievement and Business Finance

Thanks to its accreditation as an approved provider for the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), learners will also be supported to achieve the industry-recognised Level Three Award in Leadership and Management through the completion of the Skills Bootcamp.

You will also benefit from access to ‘Industry Innovators’ from local businesses, who will share their insights to assist you with your next steps for employment or professional development.

Thanks to funding from the Department for Education, SME employers will only need to pay 10% of the course fee (£275.50), whilst large organisations will be asked to contribute 30% (£826.50).
