Introduction to Mushrooms with Cheetah Tchudi, Turkeytail Farm.Topics will include different forms of fungi and their lifecycle. We will also discuss the basics of mushroom identification, and why mushroom hunting should not be taken lightly! We will cover different methods of mushroom cultivation and you have the opportunity to buy a bag of oyster spawn to try to grow!
Cheetah Tchudi is a farmer and a Certified Technical Service Provider in Regenerative Agriculture Management Services. With a BS in agronomy and mycology from Evergreen State College, Cheetah has over 20 years of experience in ecological-agriculture. He has worked in a diversity of farm systems, including diversified livestock, mixed vegetable, fruit tree production, and mushroom farming. In addition to managing conservation projects at TurkeyTail Farm, he currently works as an independent contractor with the Community Alliance with Family Farmers, helping growers understand groundwater policy in California and providing Technical Assistance with irrigation and well related issues.
