Almaty in Kazakhstan is a dream place for skiing, as the proximity of mountains to the airport is very close here. We will spend our extended weekend in Shymbulak, a ski resort on the outskirts of Almaty, which will optimize the time we spend on slopes, moreover during the weekends, slopes are lit up, so nothing should stop us from doing most of it.
