We will start by selecting an area just off the parking lot in the meadow area, perhaps by a blooming golden rod or grassy seed heads, and watch the late fall pollinator activity while sketching the moment on paper. Sketch the amazing landscapes or botanical creatures nearby, or bring a camera and binoculars and just observe. During the last hour, there will be an optional short night hike on the universally accessible trail.
What to Expect: There is a level walk from the parking lot to the nearby meadow area. Sunset is at 6:33 p.m. The optional night hike will be on the approximately 1-mile universally accessible lollipop trail.
Event Leaders: Mary Patterson is an Interpretive Ranger with Lancaster Conservancy who loves wildflowers and butterflies amongst the many other wonderful things that can be discovered in nature. Sketching and watercolor is a beloved hobby.
Interpretive Ranger Craig Lehman believes it’s all about connection: connection to each other, connection to community, and connection to nature. He enjoys facilitating outdoor experiences that enhance those connections and create positive change.
What to Bring: Bring a chair or blanket and simple art supplies such as a pencil, sketch pad, color pencils, or watercolor set (keep it minimal). Binoculars are optional. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are highly recommended.

Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend this event after purchasing a ticket, refund requests must be made at least 48 hours before the event.
Cancellation Policy: This event will be held rain or shine, with cancellation for severe weather made at the time of the event. If the Conservancy reschedules the event, attendees will be emailed and tickets will be automatically moved to the new date. If the Conservancy cancels the event, attendees will be notified via email when possible and refunded.
