"Sketchbook Confidential" is a collection of new works from icon Vegas based artist Juan Muniz, it will exhibit at Recycled Propaganda's gallery from December 2024 to January 2025.The show focuses on shining a light on mental health, not only through his art but also through children’s book, toys and apparel. Capturing what it was like to struggle with severe depression and anxiety from a young age, in this new collection Juan allows himself to vent through his marker, brush, spray can and others mediums, having an “art word vomit” on canvases. The work hopes to act as a cleansing for all those burdened by their emotional and mental struggles. He take out his frustrations on these canvases, just like as he did in his sketch books back in his school days. A journal of "an average person trying to get through another day the best way they can", but instead of words on a paper, it’s the angry, frustrated, and scared drawings on canvas that provide this empowerment.
The new exhibit will also feature a print anthology show by Recycled Propaganda.
The exhibition will be open until the end of January 2025.
