Let's grab our sketchbooks and meet at the Amtrak Station on June 24th at 11:30 am to draw and capture the hustle and bustle of the station!SKETCH WITH US AT THE ORLANDO AMTRAK STATION
Making its way from Miami, FL to Penn Station in NYC, the shiny Silver Meteor Train will slow down to a full stop at the Orlando Amtrak Station at about 1:21 pm Saturday, June 24th. At 1:35 pm, it will turn up the Engine again and will head up north to the Big Apple.
We will be there earlier to capture into our sketchbooks the moments, the hustle & bustle inside the Orlando Amtrak station before the train arrives and when depart.
We will observe the people waiting for the train, holding on to their belongings, children, tourists, and so much more.
The Amtrak building itself is one exciting object to sketch for the lovers of architecture among us. The 1926 Spanish mission-style building, which once served as the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, is a fantastic piece of history we wish to capture in sketches. Its exterior arches facade and bell tower, high ceiling, and vintage benches inside the station are all dream subjects to the Urban Sketcher!

BRING: Sketchbook, pen, watercolors, markers, or any drawing material of your choice.
PARKING: E or F Parking Garage 100 or 129 W Copeland Dr, Orlando, FL 32806, or nearby sidewalks parking where available.
LUNCH: As traditionally done, we will end our gathering in a local restaurant for lunch, a time to bond and strengthen our group’s comradeship.
