Hi Sketchers,On the weekend of the solstice, we are going to capture one of DC's beloved winter traditions: the transformation of the fountain at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden into an ice skating rink.
Since it is December, it is likely to be cold. Be sure to wear layers, grab a hot drink in the Pavilion Cafe, visit one of the neighboring museums, and/or take a break from sketching to ice skate to keep warm!

2:00 PM - I'll be at the northwest entrance of the garden to greet folks as they arrive. If you miss me, jump into sketching and we'll catch up at the throw-down.
3:45 PM - We'll gather again near the northwest entrance and share our creations.
The nearest metro stations are Federal Triangle and Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter.
