NOTE: Bring CASH to buy tokens to purchase food from the court vendors.We'll sketch outside the Wat Thai of Los Angeles temple and then gather to get lunch from the collection of Thai food stalls adjacent to the temple.
Wat Thai Temple Los Angeles (the official name is the Theraveda Buddhist Center) opened in 1974. It and the adjacent food court are a cultural center for the Thai community of Southern California, the largest Thai community outside of Thailand.
10:00 - 1:00 (plus time to enjoy Thai lunch)

10:00 – MEET in front of the temple (southeast side) where the two large statues are.
12:30 – RECONVENE at the same place for throw down and photo
1:00 – END and enjoy the many offerings of the Thai food court.
ADMISSION: free for outdoor sketching. The temple is closed except for worship. HOWEVER bring cash for tokens to buy food.
PARKING: Free in limited parking lot north of the temple or on the street. Carpooling is a very good idea.
BRING: CASH FOR FOOD TOKENS and your favorite sketching gear, plus water, sunblock, etc.
Consider leaving a donation to the temple as we are enjoying it for sketching purposes for free.
If you’re new to sketching, your equipment can be as simple as a pencil and a sketchbook.
All are welcome whether beginner or seasoned pro.
