Ever wanted to sketch in public but felt too shy to do it alone? Join Rosie for a Sketch and Crawl – a free, casual meetup for anyone who loves to draw—or wants to start—while exploring the town of Felixstowe together. What is urban sketching? It’s the art of drawing on location, capturing everyday life in real time. Whether it’s bustling streets, quiet cafés, or historic landmarks, urban sketching is all about observing and documenting the world around you, one sketch at a time. Rosie has been urban sketching consistently for the past year and she has fallen in love with the process and wishes to share it with others.
When we meet up, we’ll move as a group to different locations, stopping to sketch along the way. There’s no pressure to create a masterpiece—this is about having fun, meeting fellow sketchers, and building confidence drawing in public. All levels are welcome!
What to bring? We suggest bringing a sketchbook (preferably hardback) and appropriate materials such as pens (fine liners or colour markers), travel water colour set, wax crayons, pencils (colour or graphite). Basically, bring anything you feel comfortable using outside which can fit in a pencil case. So, this might mean leaving the oil paints at home! 😆
Where will we meet? At the Triangle in Felixstowe. (Outside Tesco Express in the town centre).
Join us for a relaxed, creative get-together, and let’s fill our sketchbooks! 🎨🖋✨
This is a FREE event. Please RSVP via our website.
See you there!
