Although this group has been going for a few years now, this will be the very first time we have met at Mudeford Quay at the entrance to Christchurch Harbour. Let's meet on the Quay near the entrance to the Cafe at 11am, sketch for a couple of hours and meet again at 1pm to see how we did.Expect to see lots of sailing and fishing gear, many lobster pots, some charming former-fishermen's cottages and views across The Run to the end of Mudeford Sandspit and the Isle of Wight. In case of bad weather, shelter can be found in the Haven Inn or the Cafe. The Cafe even boasts an outside yet partly undercover terrace, but beware of the resident starlings who will try to steal your chips if you dare to have any on the outside tables! If you're feeling intrepid, you could even take the Mudeford Ferry across to the other side to get a view of the whole Quay.
