Join us for a Social Sketchup in Chelmsford!
This midweek session will be hosted by local Artist and regular Sketch Appeal contributor Helen Girling, who is excited to welcome and guide you through a fun and friendly portrait session - no skills required!
You'll be drawing miniature portraits (as shown in the photos) in around 5-10 minutes, and Helen will provide optional prompts to inspire you along the way...
This is a chance to sketch and connect with your local community, and to experiment with some fun ways of drawing faces - Sketch Appeal style! Everyone will have the opportunity to draw and be drawn - to pose, to pause, and to connect in a unique and uplifting way. No pressure to sit for the group, but if you do you’ll get to take all your portraits home at the end!
Think you "can't draw" or are nervous about drawing faces? This event is for you! You'll soon see your creativity in a new light, as you play and draw freely - for the sheer joy of it!
Suitable for ages 18+

About Artists at the Meadows
Based in the Meadows Shopping Centre, Chelmsford, Artists at the Meadows is a gallery space run by a collective of local artists. The space includes a monthly rotating exhibition and offers customers the opportunity to watch the artists at work. Artists at the Meadows won Best New Business at the Chelmsford Business Awards 2024. We are located at Unit 32 (next to the CBD shop and across from One Beyond) – not to be confused with The Art Place!
