About this Event
Join local artist and art teacher, Laura Matine, for a unique workshop inspired by Monet's iconic Impressionist landscapes. This is our second workshop together, giving you another chance to recreate a landscape painting in Monet's signature style, in case you missed it last time!
This time, we'll recreate the pictured landscape - Laura's own take on an Impressionist scene. In this session, you'll explore colour mixing, blending, and layering techniques with acrylics. Enjoy live demonstrations and step-by-step guidance to craft your own beautiful Impressionist scene.
Held in the Potting Shed, The Waterman’s charming back room, this evening promises a relaxed atmosphere filled with painting, socialising, and refreshments - what a perfect start to the New Year!
What to expect:
- A two-hour workshop with Laura’s expert guidance on colour mixing and application in the Impressionist style.
- Your own completed artwork to take home.
- All materials provided.
- Drinks and food available from the bar.
You'll be taking your artwork away with you at the end of the session, so please consider how this will be transported home. `We recommend bringing along a plastic bag or something to wrap your masterpiece in to protect it!
Please note that you and your clothes could get a little messy, so don't come in your favourite outfit.
