Step back in time and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of bees, beekeeping, and history. This unique hands-on workshop and exhibition tour combines traditional craft with rare historical treasures.
🌾 What to Expect
• The Histori of Bees Exhibition Tour Discover the wonders of beekeeping through rare artifacts, including a remarkable 400-year-old beekeeping book. Learn how humans have worked alongside bees for centuries.
• Bee-Themed Code Breaking Children will dive into a playful puzzle challenge. They’ll crack bee-inspired codes, blending history with problem-solving and teamwork.
• Skep-Making Workshop Skeps are rounded, dome-shaped coiled basket structures woven from straw, reeds, or grasses. For hundreds of years, they were the traditional homes of honeybees before modern wooden hives were invented. Participants will coil and create their own mini skep. It’s a chance to connect with history, practice a traditional craft, and take home a piece of living heritage.
