Friday, May 3
1-4 PM Afternoon skate: Skate to Anacostia Skate Pavilion (12 miles) Start @ Freedom Plaza Did you know that DC is the home of the only skate rink in the National Parks Service right across the river in Anacostia. We'll skate from Freedom Plaza across the Fredrick Douglas Bridge over to the trail and stop at the Skate Pavilion. The stop will be about 30-60min. Then we'll head back across the Whitney Young Bridge before coming back up towards Union Station and Yotel.

7-9:30 PM Friday Night Monument Skate (11 miles Options for 5.5 and 8.5 miles) Start @ Freedom PlazaNational Mall and Monuments - come out for our famous Friday Night Skate as we skate past the Capitol, Smithsonian Castle and Museums, Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. We'll then head over to Haines Point for a loop before returning to Freedom Plaza to get some food afterwards. Bring out your lights! Wear red, white and blue to show off your DC pride!

10AM Saturday Adventure Skate @ Freedom Plaza (18 miles - including lunch break) Head from Freedom Plaza to the Lincoln Memorial across the Potomac River via Memorial Bridge to the Mt. Vernon Trail. We'll follow the trail past Gravely Point (stop to see the planes take off) to Crystal City (or soon to be called National Landing, thanks Bezos!) We will then take the Potomac Yard Trail down to Old Town Alexandria. We will then head over to Mt. Vernon Avenue through Del Rey and lunch stop at Dairy Godmother (there's also burgers, bbq and donuts). We'll then continue back through Crystal City and to the 14th Street Bridge, going back by the Lincoln Memorial and over to Freedom Plaza for a total of 18 miles.

5PM Sunset Roll Out: Starting @ Freedom Plaza(6 miles)
** Bring sandals or shoes for the dinner stop **
We will skate to the White House, Dupont Circle and then stop for dinner at the Western Market Eatery! From there we roll to the Potomac River to watch the sunset from the Watergate Steps. Then we return via a twilight tour around the Lincoln and Washington memorials.

10AM Rock Creek Park Skate @ Freedom Plaza (5 or 18 miles) Skate Scenic Rock Creek Parkway! Intermediate skaters and folks returning to the hotel for checkout exit the park with Jessie at P Street (5 mile route option). Advanced skaters go with Chris the full distance to the Wise Rd turnaround.
