About this Event
The workshop will bring together local riparian project developers and sponsors with some of the key riparian funding organizations to discuss how best to support critical riparian restoration and protection activities. The idea is to do two things:
- Create a space for the development or amplification of strategic partnerships around riparian work in North Puget Sound.
- Provide early input to funders as they consider development of riparian focused RFPs.
Anticipated funding organization participants include the Department of Ecology, the Recreation Conservation Office, the Conservation Commission, and NOAA. Discussion sessions will include networking time and guided conversations to help make connections, talk about project ideas, and identify funding needs in advance of potential riparian-focused RFPs expected later in 2024.
We know you have lots of demands on your time. Our aim is to create a workshop that provides valuable time for you to connect with North Sound colleagues and creates actionable information for funders. It will be fun; it will be impactful; it will be in person! This is modeled after the same sort of riparian workshop held in the Snohomish-Stillaguamish watershed, and complements other workshops being held in South and West Puget Sound this spring, so we know it can work.
Breakfast snacks and lunch will be provided. Please note any dietary restrictions when you register.
Please register by Friday May 17!
